Oakmont will host the US Open for an eighth time beginning Thursday, and that’s a great indicator that the tournament will be an amazing one. The venue has been host to some of the very best moments in US Open history including Johnny Miller’s final round 63 and the epic Nicklaus-Palmer playoff of 1962 (see photo).
