Creative Dads Unite!

What’s the best thing about owning Twin Miracles Editorial? Getting to spend a lot more time at home with my titular twin miracles than I would if I worked a 9-5 job every day.

There are obviously pros and cons to being your own boss against working for a large corporation in a traditional office setting, but what makes this lifestyle even more exciting is how much traction it seems to be constantly gaining.

I just finished editing another chapter for Silvia Damiano’s latest book (from AboutmyBrain.com), which largely explored the concepts and evolution of female leadership, but also touched on the evolution of men who become small business owners in order to spend more time with their families.

In addition, there are entire websites and magazines like Maria Del Ray’s Childgood.net, which I’ve had the pleasure of writing for and hope to again in the near future, completely dedicated to creative parents, whose careers don’t fit into that 9-5 mold. It’s really refreshing to be part of such a cool community.
