Who’s Ready for the Australian Open?

One of my oldest freelance gigs is writing for TennisNow.com, which covers the ATP and WTA tours.1066

Believe it or not, yours truly was actually editor-in-chief, designer and chief writer of the first digital magazine TennisNow ever did, right after Wimbledon in 2010. Put together the whole template from scratch in about 7 days. It was thrilling and agonizing all at the same time.

When I first started working for TennisNow, my knowledge of current tennis players included “Federer, Venus and Serena, Andy Roddick and that guy from Spain.” Since then I’ve written about 700 blogs or so, put together an entire database of Grand Slam winners, have written and rewritten every major player’s biography  and contribute to their magazines on a fairly regular basis.

TennisNow has grown from a pet idea into a big force in the sport’s community, and I absolutely love being a part of the team. Check out the latest digital magazine offering in advance of the Australian Open which kicks off on Monday.
